Nomination of Beneficiaries
As a member of The People’s Pension Plan, it is essential you complete a Nomination of Beneficiaries form and keep it up to date.
If you die before taking retirement benefits, the value of your pension fund held within The People’s Pension Plan can be paid out as either a lump sum or pension income (or both) to your beneficiaries, subject to HM Revenue & Customs limits.
You may nominate more than one beneficiary if you wish.
When deciding who should receive the benefits, the Trustees will take into account your wishes set out in your Nomination of Beneficiaries Form, if one has been completed.
The Trustees are The People’s Pension Trustee Limited. The Trustees will try and follow your wishes, but have discretion to make an alternative decision.
If you have not completed a form, the Trustees will have to make further enquiries to determine to whom they should make payments. This may delay any payment.
If your personal circumstances change after completing a nomination form, you can change your nominated beneficiaries by completing a new form. The new form will replace any previous nomination.
You will need to nominate/amend your beneficiaries by either:
- Logging into your online account at http://myproducts.bandce.co.uk; or
- Completing a nomination form which can either be downloaded from your online account or by requesting one from NFT HR Shared Services
If you complete a paper form, you will need to return it to:
B&CE Benefit Schemes, FREEPOTS CY384, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 9BR
It is your responsibility to complete a new form if your circumstances or wishes change.
