NFT's Success at Asda Carrier Awards
13:00 25/03/2010For the second year running, NFT is delighted to announce that it has won two Asda Carrier awards, designed to reward the efforts of its logistics suppliers over the past 12 months:
** Primary Carrier of the Year **
** National Carrier of the Year **
The awards were presented to the NFT Asda senior management team at the annual awards ceremony in Leeds on 26th February 2010, which was also attended by logistics professionals from around the UK & Ireland.
Ian Stansfield, Asda’s distribution director, described NFT as “a carrier committed to world-class service” and “a business that understands and embraces what our business is truly about”.
Stansfield added: “NFT works tirelessly to understand our requirements and deliver the level of service we look for.” He also singled out the company for its willingness to react to green initiatives.
Tom Starkey, MD for Operations deputised for David Frankish, CEO who was unable to attend the event due to business commitments at our new Daventry picking centre. Tom commented on the wins as “fantastic” and said “To win both awards, and particularly the main award, two years in a row is a real testament to the Asda Primary Network teams at NFT, whose hard work has been recognised by our customer.”
