NFT Depots win RoSPA and MORR Awards
11/04/06
Congratulations to Whitefield, Bristol and NPPN Crick depots, who have been presented with Silver Achievement Awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The Silver awards recognise and celebrate the achievement of a very high standard of health and safety at work over three years, and this is the first time that any NFT depots have achieved this status.
The depot teams had to provide evidence of a good health and safety management system, which involved a lot of time and effort at the sites. Thanks go to all staff at the depots but especially to Frank Tollitt (Whitefield), Bob Farrar (Bristol) and Neil Fairbrother (Crick) for their hard work collating and co-ordinating the systems.
Bristol depot has also been awarded a Gold MORR (Managing Occupational Road Risk) Award, recognising the excellent standard set by the depot in the historical performance data of accidents and the identification of an effective, cohesive corporate road risk management programme. Again, this is the first time that an NFT depot has won this award, therefore to receive Gold is a true accolade - thanks go again to the Bristol management team and Bob Farrar for their efforts in collating and implementing the systems to a high standard.
The winners each received a framed certificate, presented at an awards ceremony in Birmingham on 11th May.
