NFT Group employ a talented team of people from a range of functional disciplines across multiple sites within the UK. Their skills and experience enable us to provide a range of logistics services to our customers. Every week NFT’s transport network delivers over 110,000 pallets of food to over 400 delivery locations across the UK. A large part of this volume is delivered on NFT’s core fleet of +550 tractor units and +800 trailers.
NFT operates over 1 million sq. ft. of warehouse space at a number of locations across the UK. From these sites we provide a range of warehouse and cross docking services for our customers. NFT also provide a range of services to UK Retailers. We employ specialist, dedicated teams to manage primary chilled networks on behalf of ASDA and Sainsbury’s. NFT also operate secondary RDC’s on behalf of major retailers and deliver to store.

Every day our dedicated team of HGV drivers carry out time critical and chilled food deliveries across the UK.
They are the face of NFT when they are out on the road and when they arrive at their destinations.

Our central design team create and cost solutions for prospective clients and develop new services for our existing customers. To deliver robust solutions, the team regularly spend time at manufacturing sites to understand production schedules, the flow of goods and potential constraints.
The central team are also skilled in the use of planning tools to optimise the NFT transport network and the efficiency of our warehouse facilities.
Health & Safety and Environment
High standards of legal and technical compliance continue to be vitally important to our business and this is supported through the NFT Group Health, Safety and Environment Managers.
The fundamental role of this team is to ensure we provide a safe working environment for our colleagues. We do this by encouraging a culture of Health and Safety awareness.
Our team of H&S Managers hold a National Examination Board of Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH) general certificate in occupational health and safety and maintain an active portfolio of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through their membership of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH).
In partnership with local site management, the team ensure adherence to the health, safety and wellbeing policy, participate in regular audits, ensure site action plans for continuous improvements are in place and actively communicate with all colleagues, external customers, governing bodies and insurers as required.
The NFT IT department supports the business systems, IT infrastructure and application development. To meet the demands of the modern supply chain our applications and networks operate 24/7.
A critical element of the modern day supply chain is the effective electronic exchange of information between NFT, clients’ systems and also their customers’ systems. Development of bespoke real time interface solutions to clients and customers is an integral element within the electronic supply chain.
NFT systems interface with many client ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Navision, MfgPro, Logistar, Efacs, and many other systems in a variety of formats, transaction types, and transfer mechanisms, which function 24 hours per day. NFT exchanges in the region of 16,000 electronic documents per week on a real time basis.
NFT systems capabilities cover the full range of supply chain applications such as:

The Commercial team are responsible for developing all aspects of the NFT business.
Our Account Managers are responsible for managing the relationship with current customers and ensuring we are meeting their service and cost expectations today. At the same time the team also spend time understanding and anticipating their future requirements.
As a result of this, the Account Managers spend considerable time with their customers, but also working internally with colleagues from a variety of functions across the NFT Group to ensure the business remains responsive and agile to their needs.
The Business Development team are responsible for identifying prospective customers, understanding their unique requirements and then working with the Solutions Team to deliver a cost effective and robust logistics solution. The nature of this solution may be similar to work we already undertake, but equally the Business Development team may lead the process to build a unique services proposition.
The NFT Customer Service team provide a single and efficient point of contact for our customers. The team operate a live query desk which allows NFT to respond to specific questions or address issues that may arise on a 24/7 basis.
The majority of our Customer Service team are located at NFT’s head office in Alfreton, with additional team members based at our major warehouse picking locations – including NFT Tilbury and NFT Daventry.
All Customer Service personnel have access to vehicle tracking Microlise and liaise closely with transport planning teams and individual drivers to provide timely updates to our customers.
Over many years, the Customer Service team have built strong working relationships with retailer employees located at each of the RDC’s. This is a major benefit to ensure deliveries are accepted promptly and not unduly held.

The HR team works across the network to support in all people matters including talent management, recruitment and retention, colleague engagement, health and wellbeing, learning and development.
Operational HR Support:

Finance & Accounting
With revenue in excess of £220 million, rapid growth and a vibrant capital investment programme, there are significant roles and opportunities within our finance team.
Our Central Finance team are based in our Alfreton Head Office, with additional presence at a number of our facilities around the network. This team work closely with other functions to deliver effective financial reporting in all areas of the business.
